EVOOLEUM PACKAGING AWARDS
THE JURY

 

In addition to awarding prizes to the best 100 extra virgin olive oils on the planet, the EVOOLEUM International Awards recognizes the creative revolution that packaging has experienced nowadays. Thus the Awards for Best EVOO Packaging -a modality in which EVOOLEUM was a pioneer and that has inspired numerous competitions- recognize the best designs in the categories of Best  Premium Design, Best Innovative Design, Best Retail Design and Best Sustainable Design.

The EVOOLEUM Packaging Awards jury -selected especially for these awards- is made up of professionals with an openly multidisciplinary character and recognized prestige in each of their areas of expertise, with talent and creativity as the common denominator. 

 

 

Ana López de Letona

Founding member of the decor, PR and communication studio OTOSTD. Responsible for communication and fundraising at the Cooperation Foundation for Development Emalaikat. Regular contributor at several publications and firms that specialize in style and decor.

 

 

 

Ángel Schlesser

Fashion designer and several-time winner of the Cibeles Fashion Week Award for Creativity. His collections include fashion for men and women, swimwear for men and women, perfumes, jewelry, home textiles…

 

 

 

Isabel Muñoz

Born in Barcelona in 1951 and settled in Madrid since 1970, Isabel Muñoz is the Spanish photographer with the greatest worldwide projection and National Photography Prize. She has always known to stand out within the diversity of proposals that characterize the contemporary international photographic panorama, betting on the technique of the platinotype and the large format with the aim of reinforcing her discourse: its passion for the body as a way of approaching the study of the human being.

 

 

Javier Bonet

Designer of culinary spaces, obsessed with the quality of products and creating the ideal environment to serve them in, chef and restaurant owner Javier Bonet began his career in the world of hospitality as a waiter and is currently the architect and culinary ideologist behind Sr. Bonet, which is comprised of the Patrón Lunares cantina in Palma de Majorca, tapas and open-kitchen-plan restaurant Sala de Despiece, the gastronomic meeting place Academia del Despiece and the work-in-progress Muta, these last ones being the trendy places in Madrid.

 

Teresa de la Cierva

With a degree in Media Studies, Teresa began her journalism career in the field of event planning and promotion. She is the beauty, health and lifestyle editor at ABC newspaper as well as a member of the Royal Academy of Gastronomy and the Academy of Gastronomy of Madrid, which she founded and presided nearly ten years ago.

 

 

Nicole Vindel

Visual artist who works with narratives about socio-environmental emergencies through food. Her intersectionality leads her to highlight everyday expressions to reflect on deeper dimensions surrounding geopolitics, culture, and ecology. By incorporating living elements such as ingredients, light, or water, she creates sculptural and performance work that questions art itself as a tool to ask ourselves better questions. Her work has been exhibited at the Mansfield Art Center (Ohio, US), Tate Exchange (London, UK), Rebirth Forum del Tercer Paraíso (Havana, CU), and she currently teaches critical thinking classes at universities such as Elisava, IED, and LCI.

 

Cristina Villanueva

Journalist with more than twenty years of experience in Spanish radio and television, since 2006 she hosts laSexta Noticias Fin de Semana news bulletin. Among the awards for her career, she has received the prestigious Larra Prize for Journalism from the Madrid Press Association or the Ondas Prize, among others.

 

 

 

 

Pepe Leal

This History of Arts graduate began his training as interior designer in London to then return to Spain with new and creative ideas for various different kinds of projects. Antiquarian and gastronomy lover, this multifaceted professional in constant motion who shuns from old-formulas and embraces new trends has a CV that includes forays into the world of television.

 

Paz Vega

Spanish actress and model, Goya Award for Best New Actress for her role in Lucía y el Sexo, directed by Julio Medem. She has worked in Hollywood with renowned actors such as Scarlett Johansson, Sylvester Stallone or Colin Farrell and was second finalist for MasterChef Celebrity Spain.

 

 

 

Jimmy Millán

Multidisciplinary artist who began his career focused on collage, combining photographs and illustrations, and collaborating with fashion magazines. Over time, he has developed his own visual language in the pictorial field, where anonymous portraits become the central axis of his work. In them, he works individually each element and sculptural stroke, as well as the chromatic palette and the support, giving rise to harmonious compositions with a singular and recognizable aesthetic.

 

Teresa J Cuevas

Architect and visual artist whose work is characterized by a profound dialogue between nature, light, and personal introspection. After training in architecture in Madrid and Seoul, she worked in South Korea with studios such as One or One Architects and the artist Jinnie Seo, an experience that marked an Asian influence on her style. Since 2015, she has developed her artistic career in Madrid, where she founded her own studio/gallery in 2021. She has held multiple solo and group exhibitions in relevant venues, participated in presentations, and received recognition as a finalist at VP HOTEL&ART. Her work combines architectural materials and meditative processes with a sensibility that invites contemplation.

 

 

 

 

José Piñero

Spanish interior designer specialized in creating tableware and experimental pieces for the most renowned chefs, many of them recognized with Michelin stars such as Dabiz Muñoz, the Roca brothers or Quique Dacosta. Recognized by Forbes 2020 magazine as one of the most disruptive entrepreneurs of the moment.
